Idea: Buy Artwork for a Special Cause

PAWS/LA helps low-income seniors and people disabled by a life-threatening illness keep and care for their pets. This weekend, they’re hosting a live and silent auction of more than 100 animal-themed pieces of art including fine art, photography and sculpture donated by contemporary artists including Ed Ruscha, John Baldessari, Robert Longo and Judy Chicago. Since this is L.A. there’s are even pieces by celebs, including Tony Bennett and Phyllis Diller. View galleries here.

Absentee bidding registration accepted through today, Friday, October 18.
